I wound up in heaven on my way to hell
but when I got there I couldn't
even tell.
For the Bible it told me of a place dressed in white
but all of
the streets were stained dark with night.
I got lost in heaven on my way to hell
but when I got there I could not
tell.
For the prophets they told me of a kind loving place
but when I
arrived I was met with disgrace.
For all the good people that prayed to go
there
once they got in
they no longer cared.
They told me to leave, that I did not belong.
So I took their rejection and
put it in a song.
I found myself in heaven thinking I was in hell-
I was there for a while
before I could tell.
For the nuns they all told me of an eternal joy
but too much of a good thing in this case
it cloys.
